In season 18/19 Vera-Lotte Boecker made her debut at the Salzburg Festival with Henze’s THE BASSARIDS (Warlikowski / Nagano) as Autonoe and Proserpine. In 2019 she will make her debut in THE PRINCE OF HOMBURG as Prinzessin Natalie von Oranien at the Stuttgart State Opera (Kimmig / Meister) and sing the title role in VIKTORIA UND IHR HUSAR, Musette in BOHEME (both directed by Barrie Kosky),and Sophie in ROSENKAVALIER under the direction of Ainārs Rubiķis.

In 17/18 she had international guest appearances as Pamina in South Korea, at the Opéra Comique in Paris and in Tokyo in Barrie Kosky’s acclaimed production of THE MAGIC FLUTE. This was followed by her role debut as Donna Anna in DON GIOVANNI (Herbert Fritsch) and as Hermia in Offenbach’s BLAUBART (Stefan Herheim) at Komische Oper Berlin. There Vera sang also Rosina in Kirill Serebrennikov’s version of the BARBIERE DI SIVIGLIA and Micaëla in CARMEN. In addition, Vera has recorded a new CD for SONY with Beethoven`s IX. Symphony together with the Dresden Philharmonic and MDR chorus under Michael Sanderling In 2016 Vera-Lotte Boecker made her stunning debut at the Bavarian State Opera as Princesse Eudoxie / LA JUIVE (Calixto Bieito / Bertrand de Billy).

2017 followed her house debut at the Bolshoi Theater Moscow as Agnès in George Benjamin’s opera WRITTEN ON SKIN.

Among the conductors with whom Vera-Lotte has appeared are Dan Ettinger, Bertrand de Billy, Ruben Dubrovsky, Kent Nagano, Alexander Soddy and Frank Ollu. She has worked with directors such as Calixto Bieito, Krzysztof Warlikowski, Nicola Raab, Achim Freyer, Peter Konwitschny and Stefan Herheim. Since 2017/18 Vera-Lotte has been a member of the ensemble of the Komische Oper Berlin.

From 2014 – 2017 she was engaged at the Nationaltheater Mannheim and sang Pamina, Musetta, Gretel, Adele, Rosina, Ismene / MITRIDATE, Autonoe / THE BASSARIDS, Eudoxie / JUIVE, Jenny / MAHAGONNY but also Eliza Doolittle or the female lead role in Lucia Ronchetti’s 2015 premiere of the year’s award-winning opera ESAME DI MEZZANOTTE. Still in her studies, her first engagement has led Vera Lotte Böcker already to the Landestheater Detmold, where she was able to have role debuts as Adina, Micaëla, Gretel and Agnès.

The young soprano is a winner of the vocal competition Vokal Genial of the Munich Concert Society and the Bavarian Radio (2015, 1st Prize, Audience Award and Orchestra Prize), scholarship holder of the German Music Competition and the Richard Wagner Association Mannheim. In 2014, she was nominated for her interpretation of Agnès in George Benjamin’s opera Written on Skin as a young singer and received the Theater Prize of the city of Detmold. Vera-Lotte Boecker was born in Brühl near Cologne. She studied singing at the Academy of Music Hanns Eisler and at the University of the Arts in Berlin, where she graduated with honors. She completed her training at the Opera Studio of the Royal Danish Theater in Copenhagen.
